Job summary

The University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a Clinical Support Associate (Medical Assistant) for the Community Clinic. This 24hrs/wk daytime role supports clinical and clerical duties in an ambulatory setting, utilizing EPIC to manage patient flow and records.

The ideal candidate is a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant who has completed an MA program, with current BLS certification preferred, and the ability to work independently and under deadlines while serving diverse patient

Qualifications

• Experience in ambulatory/clinic settings preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• EPIC proficiency or training.

Responsibilities

• Clinical and clerical duties to support ambulatory care.
• Obtain patient history, vital signs, and document in EPIC.
• Prepare and administer medications per licensed staff orders.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals as needed.
