Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Quality Review/EPIC Training Coordinator to support staff in billing and denial management. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, you will troubleshoot accounts, monitor workflow, and drive training programs across Physicians Billing Financial Services.

The ideal candidate has EPIC Resolute certification, 3+ years in medical billing or customer service, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical billing and/or clinical customer service and handling patient account issues
• Proficient in Commercial, Medicare and Medi-Cal billing and claims processing with sound knowledge of rules and compliance guidelines
• EPIC Certification in Resolute Professional Billing Principal Trainer
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding, authorization requirements and related documentation
• Knowledge of basic software programs such as Excel, Word and Access
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• 3 years’ experience in an acute Professional based billing and collections department
