Job summary

Two years of medical billing experience with Epic is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This on-site position participates in standard provider billing processes and revenue cycle activities.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical billing experience and one year experience with electronic billing.
• Epic experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned Epic work queues daily to ensure accurate billing and expedient claims follow-up.
• Posts payments and verifies remittance advice.
• Performs eligibility, verification and authorization requests as needed.
• Audits billing records for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Responds to patient and insurer inquiries via multiple channels.
• Identifies and submits appeals for denied or underpaid claims.
• Reconciles accounts and manages bad debt risk to maintain low loss revenue.
