Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks an experienced System Manager, IT to steer the strategic direction and operational management of its technology landscape. You will oversee IT operations, lead a large team, and drive initiatives focused on system performance, security, and innovation.

The role requires strong leadership, broad IT systems knowledge, and a proven track record in managing technology for a large healthcare organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree, upon hire.
• EPIC Certification, within 90 Days

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for IT team including goal setting, training, on-call rotations, time-sheet approval, feedback, coaching and mentoring.
• Provide performance evaluations for team members with frequent informal feedback and recognition of achievement.
• Evaluate business opportunities by participating in feasibility studies, cost estimates, and assessing software capabilities for strategic IT direction.
• Evaluate system functionality against current business and clinical needs to ensure IT services align with objectives.
• Manage projects including forecasting time/resources, timelines, stakeholders, governance, testing, user acceptance, and change control.
• Monitor progress toward goals for all projects and issues within the teams.
