Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Epic Application Analyst III to configure and support Epic applications for business and clinical users. You will work with end users to understand workflows and implement system adjustments, coordinating activities within the IS organization.

The role serves as the primary communication point for assigned users, leading process and project planning for the application module and mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above minimum qualification.
• 3 years of experience required.
• Epic Certification (EPICCERT) listed in qualifications.

Job Summary

The EPIC Application Analyst III configures and provides advanced help for specific applications to business and clinical users. You also work with end users to understand workflows and make system adjustments or enhancements. This role is the main communication point for assigned users and coordinates activities for the IS organization. It also collaborates with managers to lead process and project planning for the application module.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Is the functional and technical Subject Matter Expert on the associated application and workflows.
• Provides good knowledge of technology (application) and enterprise processes (integrated workflows). Unites closely with all associated teams to drive a holistic patient perspective.
• Assists with the study recommendations for corrective actions and resolution of problems within the software application.
• Provides in-depth study and documentation of workflows, data collections, and end-user report details. Considers other technical issues with the application, vendor, and internal stakeholders.
• Creates and execute test scripts for new system builds.
• Trains and mentor Application Analysts.
• Runs business partners and technical team to define, document, and review business system requirements to continuously improve organizational efficiency.
• Assists IS managers and works with teams to understand policies, procedures, and operations. Translates needs into specialized application specifications.
• Solves problems by studying business issues /requirements, studying both data and workflows and synthesizing key messages.

• Experience in Hospital Business or Clinic environment preferred.
