UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks a HIT professional to participate in analysis, design, and support of critical healthcare software. You will collaborate with clinical and IT teams to optimize Epic workflows and ensure reliable operations across our health system.
This role requires a IT degree and healthcare support experience, plus Epic certification. On-call duties and adherence to HIPAA are essential, with opportunities to advance through education and hands-on problem solving.
Pay range: $70,425 - $114,440 / year

To participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing support of software critical to healthcare operations. To maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. To optimize performance to ensure the system effectively supports healthcare operations. To stay current on technological advancements and adapt to new developments. To provide ongoing system support through on-call duties, monitoring, and maintenance.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and two (2) years of healthcare support experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Epic certification in area of support or certification obtained within 12 weeks of completing Epic training with no more than two (2) testing attempts required.
