Position Title: Epic-Certified Analyst
Location: 100% Remote
Contract Duration: 6-months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Epic Analyst to lead the implementation of Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems at our new hospital. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders, end users, and the implementation team to ensure a smooth and efficient deployment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more Epic modules and a deep understanding of clinical workflows and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or participate in the end-to-end implementation of Epic systems, including planning, design, build, testing, and go-live support.
- Collaborate with hospital departments (clinical, financial, operational) to assess needs, gather requirements, and define workflows.
- Translate clinical and business processes into Epic system design using appropriate modules.
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Configure and customize Epic modules based on hospital specifications and user needs.
- Optimize system performance and workflows to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot system issues, providing support to end users post-implementation.
- Develop and deliver training materials for hospital staff and end users.
- Provide hands-on training to ensure effective use of Epic systems.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including system configurations, process changes, and training materials.
- Conduct system testing, including integrated and user acceptance testing, to validate system performance.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure all Epic modules and interfaces are functioning correctly.
- Identify and resolve system defects and issues prior to go-live.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as HIPAA and other healthcare compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Epic certification in one or more Epic modules (e.g., Ambulatory, Inpatient, Cadence, ClinDoc, etc.) is required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as an Epic Analyst in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in full-cycle Epic implementation (design, build, test, and support).
- Deep knowledge of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and healthcare IT systems.
