Carter Machinery in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Field Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair generator systems and related engine failures at customer sites. This full-time, on-site role requires 3+ years in EPG/electronics and a high school diploma or GED.

You'll work with customers and teams, travel as needed, and contribute to a safe, high-performance service culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' Electrical Power Generation/electronics field experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent driving record; ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair basic operational failures to electrical generator systems and related engine failures at customer sites.
• Interact professionally with customers and all levels of personnel within the organization.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet customer demands.
