Job summary

Carter Machinery, Inc. is hiring an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Rental Technician in Williamsburg, VA. The role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing EPG rental equipment at Carter or customer facilities, with a 1st shift and a starting compensation range of $26.46–$38.81 per hour.

A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered for new hires. Candidates must understand Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps, and be capable of working independently in the field while supporting PSD rental

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have thorough understanding of gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps.
• Ability to travel and work after-hours to support customers; 24/7/365.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose, and repair EPG rental equipment at Carter or customer facilities.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, pumps, UPS and paralleling systems.
• Be available for after-hours emergency service requests; 24/7/365.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and team.
