  • Plan engineering capacity and allocate resources based on project priorities, schedules, technical complexity, and business needs.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce engineering standards, design practices, review procedures, templates, and quality-control processes.
  • Review and approve technical designs, single-line diagrams, layouts, specifications, calculations, equipment selections, and submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Serve as the senior technical resource for power generation, electrical distribution, controls, energy storage, microgrid, and related engineered systems.
  • Partner with sales, project management, service, and operations leaders to support project development, technical strategy, execution planning, and issue resolution.

  • Support engineering input for proposals, RFQs, equipment procurement packages, project budgets, schedules, and change management.
  • Ensure engineering work complies with company policies, safety requirements, applicable codes and regulations, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Caterpillar and allied vendors to align technical solutions, resolve product issues, and maintain knowledge of current technologies and offerings.
  • Provide escalation support for complex field issues, testing, startup, commissioning, and system-performance concerns.
  • Monitor engineering quality, workload, schedules, and key performance indicators; communicate risks, priorities, and resource needs to leadership.
  • Lead design reviews, project reviews, and lessons-learned activities to improve quality, consistency, efficiency, and future project performance.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, succession planning, and retention of qualified engineering personnel.
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding technical scope, project status, engineering priorities, and resolution of significant concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
