Actalent seeks a Senior Project Engineer to coordinate cross-disciplinary teams across mechanical, chemical, electrical, civil, and related disciplines for major EPC projects in the energy sector. You’ll drive design reviews, resolve issues, and manage scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful turnover from FEED through startup.

The role is based onsite in Houston, TX, with a five-day workweek and contract-to-hire prospects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Civil or related).
  • 15+ years EPC project experience on large industrial or energy projects.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • PE license is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, chemical, electrical, civil, and related disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Lead engineering progress reviews and technical meetings, driving decisions and resolving issues.
  • Monitor and manage project scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables for EPC execution.
  • Function as the primary technical liaison between stakeholders, vendors, contractors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Support procurement and construction activities with engineering input and field support.
  • Assist commissioning and startup with ensuring systems meet requirements.
