Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking a Project Cost Specialist to join the Project Controls team in Atlanta. You will monitor financial performance across the project lifecycle, develop budgets, track costs, forecast, and provide leadership with accurate reporting for large EPC energy and renewable energy projects in North America.

The role requires 4+ years in cost management, expertise in EVM, and proficiency with JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI. Domestic travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cost management and project controls.
• Forecasting, cost control, change management, and risk analysis.
• Convert complex financials into clear, actionable insights.
• Proficient in JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, Power BI.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Finance, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and control project costs for EPC energy and utility projects.
• Monitor budgets, actual costs, forecasts, and cost trends.
• Develop Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Complete (ETC).
• Apply Earned Value Management to evaluate project performance and variances.
• Identify cost risks and deviations; escalate to project leadership.
• Support change management, budget transfers, and cost impact evaluations.
• Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts for leadership.
• Utilize tools like JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, Power BI for tracking.
• Act as a trusted cost control resource and support continuous improvement.
