Job summary

African Power Platform in CT is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee contracts on power projects through construction. You are the contract point on the project, coordinating with the legal team to prepare, review and negotiate contracts, and ensuring contractors meet signed terms.

You will pick up issues on site early to prevent claims or delays, interact with contractors, the owner's engineer and the independent engineer, and report to the Director Legal: Business Development.

Description: Our client is an Independent Power Producer looking for a Contracts Manager to manage the contracts on its power projects through construction.

You are the contract point on the project.

You work with the legal team on preparing, reviewing and negotiating the contracts, you hold contractors to what they signed, and you pick up issues on site early so they do not turn into claims or delays. Contractors, the owner's engineer and the independent engineer come to you on anything contractual.

You report to the Director Legal: Business Development and work closely with the Project Director and the Legal Asset team.

The role splits its time between the office and construction sites.
