Job summary

CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Contracts Lead – Capital Projects to source, draft, negotiate and administer EPC contracts across multiple capital projects in Houston. You will coordinate baseline EPC documents and work with project teams through pre-award, kickoff and execution phases to keep delivery on schedule.

The role requires at least five years of capital project contracting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or Supply Chain, and familiarity with source-to-pay platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or Supply Chain (or equivalent experience) required.
• Minimum five years of capital project contracting experience.
• Experience with EPC and construction services contracting and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Source, draft, negotiate, and administer EPC contract work scopes.
• Coordinate contract documents and track progress across EPC projects.
• Support change management with project controls and attachments.
• Provide contracting progress reports to project leadership.
• Collaborate with Legal to finalize complex commercial agreements and mitigate risk.
