Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to assist the Construction Project Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, and EPC Project Manager in day-to-day project execution. You will help manage safety, quality, schedule, cost, contracts, and subcontractors across diverse projects including aviation, commercial, energy, and water.

Responsibilities include risk reviews, procurement planning, document control, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Ability to manage large volumes of work in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in multiple industries including aviation, commercial, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Project Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, or EPC Project Manager with day-to-day management of safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, and procurement.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to build client relationships and interface with the client for proposals and project items.
• Develop project plans, risk reviews, and execution plans with various stakeholders.
• Coordinate procurement plans, staffing, and subcontractor administration for EPC projects.
• Support cost reporting, scheduling, change management, and invoice processing.
