Job summary

Aecon is seeking a Project Manager to lead utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model. The Project Manager will drive safe, high-quality delivery from contract award through commissioning, energization, and closeout, while achieving schedule, cost, and client objectives.

This position may be based in Port Huron or Detroit, Michigan, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with regular travel to project sites to coordinate

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of project management experience in EPC construction, power generation, renewable energy, or industrial infra.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning across engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Manage scope, schedule, milestones, and ensure effective project controls.
• Monitor finances: budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities; escalate as needed.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and keep stakeholders informed.
