Job summary

Mentor Technical Group (MTG) is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to perform preventive maintenance and system installations in a PR-based facility. You will read schematics, calibrate thermostats, and ensure safe, compliant operation of HVAC equipment.

The role requires a PR HVAC license, EPA certification, and 3+ years' experience. You will work flexible hours and be part of MTG's life science services team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• PR HVAC License required; 3+ years as HVAC technician.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration and heating principles.
• Reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays on short notice.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and general maintenance tasks on HVAC systems.
• Read and follow safety procedures associated with HVAC processes.
• Install and maintain diverse heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Lay out wires and pipes to complete HVAC systems.
• Calibrate thermostats and other controls; check motors and belts.
• Change filters and replace worn parts.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve issues promptly.
• Record and report faults and time spent on work orders.
• Comply with safety and cGMP policies.
