Job summary

ZRS Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Alexandria, VA to deliver exceptional service to residents. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance maintenance, support turnover projects, and help sustain a preventive maintenance program.

Strong communication, safety awareness, willingness to work on-call hours, and the ability to lift heavy objects are required. This full-time role includes competitive benefits and a potential path to a Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance.
• EPA certification preferred; if required at a specific property, certification must be obtained within 90 days of the employment start date.
• Maintenance experience & knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Perform independently technical maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, appliances and related systems.
• Perform apartment turnover maintenance within three to five business days including installation of blinds, filter changes, bulb replacements, plumbing/caulking repairs.
• Maintain common areas: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, washing windows.
• Monitor building exterior for issues with roof, siding, shutters, etc.
• Support preventive maintenance program and ensure safety of all equipment and structures.
• Enter newly purchased tools or equipment into inventory and keep work area clean and orderly.
• Observe all safety rules and guidelines.
