Job summary

Building Services of America in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician (HVAC/ EPA Certified) to service multi-family residential properties. The position is on-site, full-time, Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with on-call/off-hours as needed.

Rate is $24.00–$26.00 per hour; must have HVAC, EPA Universal Certification, a high school diploma, valid driver's license and 2 years' residential maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• HVAC, EPA Universal Certification REQUIRED.
• Minimum 2 years’ residential maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to work on-site.
• Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repairs: inspect units, perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliances.
• Preventive Maintenance: schedule and upgrade equipment to meet safety standards.
• Emergency Response: on-call for urgent maintenance needs.
• Documentation: accurate records of work, inspections, and expenses.
• Resident Relations: courteous, professional interaction and service requests.
• Safety and Compliance: follow codes and safety regulations.
