Job summary

AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL is seeking a full-time registered nurse with critical care experience to join the cardiac/IR team. You will manage patient care, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to post-procedure protocols in a high-acuity setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing, with 1+ year of critical care and 2+ years as an RN. The role includes Day shift hours and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• RN with 1+ years critical care experience.
• 2+ years experience as an RN (preferred).
• Prior experience in IR, Cath Lab or Critical Care.
• Bachelor's in Nursing is required; Associate's is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the monthly work and call schedules for respective departments.
• Participates in equipment quality controls and quality improvement efforts.
• Conducts holistic, individualized assessments of each patient in relation to age, physiological, and psychological status.
• Interprets, evaluates, and implements physician orders in a timely manner.
• Establishes priorities and plans appropriate actions for patient care.
• Addresses educational needs of patients and their families regarding procedures and post-care.
• Administers commonly used drugs and solutions in Cardiology and IR procedures.
• Identifies and communicates any changes in the patient's status to the medical team.
• Assists with Cath Lab, IR, and Non-Invasive procedures as needed.
• Provides post-procedure hemostasis and post-procedure dressing.

Job Description

• Manages the monthly work and call schedules for respective departments.

• Orients new staff and ensures annual competencies are met.
• Ensures collection and maintenance of performance improvement data.
• Other duties as assigned.
