Job summary

AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL, is seeking an experienced RN to join our full-time team in the Cardiology/IR area. You will manage monthly work and call schedules for the department and participate in quality improvement.

You will perform holistic assessments, interpret physician orders, and ensure timely post-care education and planning. The role requires RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, 1+ year CC experience, and prior IR/cath lab exposure.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of critical care experience.
• RN licensed with BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in cardiology or IR settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages the monthly work and call schedules for respective departments.
• Participates in equipment quality controls and quality improvement efforts.
• Conducts holistic, individualized assessments of each patient in relation to age, physiological, and psychological status.
• Interprets, evaluates, and implements physician orders in a timely manner.
• Establishes priorities and plans appropriate actions accordingly for patient care.
• Addresses educational needs of patients and their families regarding procedures and post-care.
• Administers commonly used drugs and solutions in Cardiology and IR procedures.
• Identifies and communicates any changes in the patient's status to the appropriate medical team.
• Assists with Cath Lab, IR, and Non-Invasive procedures as needed.
• Provides post-procedure hemostasis and correctly applies post-procedure dressing.
• Orients new staff and ensures annual competencies are met.
• Ensures collection and maintenance of performance improvement data.
• Other duties as assigned.
