Job summary

Leidos' NISC IV Program seeks an Environmental & Safety Professional to support FAA EOSH programs in Houston, blending fieldwork with technical reporting. You will address environmental and safety challenges across multiple disciplines while advancing safety and sustainability of the national airspace.

The role requires hands-on experience, ability to travel for field assignments, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field with 4–8 years' experience, or a Master's with 2–6 years.
• Hands-on environmental, health, and safety experience.
• Ability to work at heights and complete Fall Protection training.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and program assessment skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust suitability (U.S. citizens or Green Card holders).

Responsibilities

• Support FAA EOSH programs across multiple disciplines.
• Conduct environmental and safety sampling using a wide range of instrumentation and techniques.
• Perform site inspections and surveys, identify risks, and prepare reports with actionable recommendations.
• Manage inspection data within digital platforms and maintain documentation.
• Inspect workplaces for fall hazards and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Deliver training and evaluate learners' performance to ensure successful completion.
• Coordinate and manage travel associated with field assignments.
• Research and interpret federal, state, local, and FAA regulations to support compliance.
