Job summary

RTX is seeking an Engineering Technician for Test Equipment Support in McKinney, Texas. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineering, factory management, and operations to support EOIR test equipment variants produced at the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and improving factory metrics. Second shift with start times around 12pm–2pm and occasional weekends; AA/AS with 8+ years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
• Experience reading drawings, datasheets, and/or system specifications.
• 4 years hands-on experience maintaining/repairing test equipment.
• 2 years experience troubleshooting test equipment issues.
• 2 years experience working in a factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily factory needs to maintain equipment uptime (predictive maintenance, troubleshooting).
• Maintain and improve factory metrics to reduce cost and enhance capabilities.
• Participate in investigations of failure trends and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Engage with suppliers for test equipment purchases.
