Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced EO/IR Systems Engineer to serve as the Test Manager for the Army Javelin Seeker effort. The role provides programmatic T&E oversight across the full acquisition life cycle and ensures readiness, planning, execution, and reporting align with requirements and Army decision milestones.

The candidate will advise government and industry stakeholders, review contractor test docs, and lead multi-agency test synchronization with Army stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, or Systems Engineering or related STEM.
• 7+ years of progressive systems engineering and T&E experience on defense programs.
• Experience with acquisition-level qualification, verification, and T&E across life cycle.
• Knowledge of U.S. Army T&E processes with ATEC/RTC coordination.
• Ability to lead complex T&E efforts with limited direction.
• Experience with EO/IR systems, seekers, sensors, or electro-optical payloads.
• Strong briefing, analytical, and technical writing skills.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Staff T&E strategy and plans aligned with System Specifications and RVTM.
• Lead T&E WIPTs and chair TRRs; participate in reviews.
• Guide test activities per SEP; manage RVTM.
• Ensure traceability between requirements and test results.
• Establish sub-working groups; deconflict issues and elevate risks.
• Manage T&E schedule within IMS; coordinate with Army test centers.
• Provide systems/test engineering oversight of contractor tests and reports.
• Witness testing; monitor data collection for independent evaluations.
• Support technical assessment of test adequacy and risk.
• Lead investigations for test anomalies and corrective actions.
• Identify and track T&E programmatic risks.
• Synthesize data into executive briefings and system assessments.
