Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks an Engineer to support NSWC Crane, providing engineering and technical support to the Electro-Optic Technology Division for USV and LXNW projects.

You will perform trade studies, develop requirements and use cases, review documents, and contribute to test planning and deployment activities.

This role requires a US citizenship with Secret clearance and experience in EO/IR systems, documentation, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• US citizen capable of obtaining Secret clearance.
• 3+ years in systems engineering and design.
• Strong communication and experience in algorithm development and software concepts.
• Experience with EO/IR projects and laser tech.
• No coding work; focus on validation.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform trade studies and analyses to support requirements allocation and hardware troubleshooting.
• Develop and finalize requirements, use cases, architecture, and technical documents.
• Review documents and standardize formats, document types, and naming conventions.
• Write procedures and design criteria to standardize EO Tech work products.
• Investigate issues pertaining to system requirements and changes.
• Evaluate technical specifications and performance requirements.
• Prepare inputs for test plans and procedures for tests (virtual and live).
• Conduct trade studies for future EO/IR capabilities and use cases.
• Provide engineering services and assist with hardware installation and checkout as required.
