Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an EO/IR Systems Engineer to support mission operations for a Washington, DC-based customer. The role involves in-depth knowledge of L3Harris systems, monitoring performance, and applying advanced engineering principles to spaceflight hardware.

The candidate will work across mechanical, optical, electrical, and software disciplines, communicating issues, risks, and status daily with teammates and customers to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field with 4+ years of experience; or Graduate degree with 2+ years of experience.
2+ years of relevant systems engineering experience; space/sensor systems knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide Mission Operations support to current L3Harris products.
Develop and verify mission CONOPs; drive CONOPs to program execution.
Collaborate with off-site factory support and on-site customers; fast-paced multi-company environment.
Participate in on-call rotations and occasional surge or shift work.
