Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking an intermediate level Tracking, Filtering, EO/IR Data Analyst to join our defense-focused team. You will analyze EO/IR sensor data, perform data fusion, and support calibration and characterization of multi-spectral systems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field, U.S. Citizenship, and an active Secret Clearance, with 3–5+ years of EO/IR data analysis, image processing, and statistical analysis, plus experience with

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience AND 5+ years of experience in EO/IR data analysis, image processing, and statistical analysis.
• Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience AND 3+ years of experience in EO/IR data analysis, image processing, and statistical analysis.
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to maintain
• Experience with data processing software and tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R, Java, or other relevant tools).
• Strong analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze EO/IR sensor data, including target detection, tracking, filtering, and signature analysis.
• Perform sensor data fusion and uncertainty analysis.
• Support multi-spectral sensor calibration and characterization.
• Analyze algorithms and their interaction to improve performance.
• Interpret data, identifying trends, and analyze results using statistical techniques.
