Job summary

Tango Sierra-Bravo seeks an Electro‑Optical Imagery Data Scientist in Arlington, VA to apply AI/ML to ISR sensor data. You will process geospatial EO data, develop and test algorithms, and collaborate with SAR/EO teams to enable advanced pattern detection and object analysis.

The role requires deep EO imagery expertise, strong data science background, and ability to work across technical audiences. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong background in data science with experience in remote sensing, image processing, or image science.
• 13 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree (substitutions allowed for different degrees).
• Experience with EO imagery (electro-optical) exploitation to detect objects and patterns.

Responsibilities

• Obtain new data and assess latency, formats, and security domains.
• Pre-process and standardize data to match data standards for labeling and model testing.
• Collaborate with EO imagery scientists to provide coincident EO data and evaluate sensor characteristics.
• Identify differences in metadata, data formats, and ETL processes for data ingestion.
