Job Summary

Envista is seeking a talented and innovative Sr. Data Scientist to join our IT Data & Analytics team. This role requires a Data Scientist who can provide thought leadership and strategic direction on how artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) can be utilized to optimize various business functions. The person will work closely with stakeholders using an agile framework to plan, design, and execute projects leveraging AI and ML technologies.

The Sr. Data Scientist will develop strategic AI/ML capabilities, design and implement strategies to understand their impact at Envista, and partner with cross-functional teams to build operational AI/ML capabilities. The role involves staying current with advancements in machine learning, framing business questions from a data science perspective, and designing advanced modeling solutions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of AI, ML, and Generative AI solutions to automate business processes.
• Collaborate with Commercial teams to enhance sales and marketing strategies.
• Work with G&A functions (Finance, HR, IT) to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Manage the full lifecycle of machine learning models.
• Utilize tools like Databricks, Python, Snowflake, and Tableau for data analysis and modeling.
• Stay updated with AI/ML advancements and apply them at Envista.
• Maintain documentation for data science processes, models, and algorithms.
• Provide training and support on AI and ML technologies.
• Build an AI community within Envista to share best practices and promote adoption.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in AI, ML, and Generative AI OR
• Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience OR
• PhD with 6+ years of experience in advanced analytics in Medtech or tech companies.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with data tools like Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau.
• Experience operationalizing algorithms into production systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information
