Job Summary

Envista is seeking a talented and innovative Sr. Data Scientist to join our IT Data & Analytics team. This role requires a Data Scientist who can provide thought leadership and strategic direction on how artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) can be utilized to optimize various departmental needs. They will work closely with stakeholders using an agile framework to plan, design, and execute projects leveraging AI and ML technologies.

The Sr. Data Scientist will develop strategic capabilities in AI/ML, designing and implementing strategies that create essential technical and business process building blocks. They will partner with cross-functional teams to build operational AI/ML capabilities, define operating metrics, and enable predictive analytics. Staying current with advancements in machine learning models and framing business questions from a data science perspective are crucial. The role involves designing and applying advanced modeling solutions in statistical analysis, bioinformatics, data automation, data mining, machine learning, and data visualization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of AI, ML, and Generative AI solutions to automate business processes.
• Collaborate with Commercial teams to understand their needs and provide insights to enhance strategies.
• Work with G&A functions (Finance, HR, IT, etc.) to identify process improvement opportunities through data-driven solutions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of machine learning models.
• Utilize tools such as Databricks, Python, Snowflake, and Tableau for data analysis, modeling, and presentation.
• Stay updated with latest advancements in AI, ML, and Generative AI, applying this knowledge at Envista.
• Maintain documentation for data science processes, models, and algorithms.
• Provide training and support on AI and ML technologies and best practices.
• Build an AI community within Envista to share best practices and promote adoption of data science methodologies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree AND 12+ years of experience in AI, ML, and Generative AI OR
• Master’s degree in Data Science AND 10+ years of experience in AI, ML, and Generative AI OR
• PhD in Data Science AND 6+ years of experience with advanced analytics teams.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Tableau.
• Experience in operationalizing algorithms into production systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

Target Market Salary Range: $96,300 - $178,900. Compensation depends on various factors including location, skill set, education, experience, and performance. Benefits may include bonuses, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and other plans.
