Allied World is seeking an Underwriter to support a growing environmental portfolio, ensuring profitability and growth while adhering to underwriting guidelines. You will evaluate submissions, price coverage, and negotiate terms with brokers and clients to drive revenue and manage risk.

The role requires 4 years of college education and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree required.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and quantitative skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Execute the business plan for the development of an Environmental portfolio.
• Prioritize and evaluate submissions to maximize profit and align with plan.
• Evaluate terms and structures to meet profitability targets.
• Negotiate with brokers and clients for new and renewal business.
• Attend client/broker meetings and industry events as applicable.
• Cross-sell Allied World products and expand existing relationships.
