Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services is seeking an Environmental Underwriter to administer underwriting and servicing of renewal accounts for wholesale brokers within the territory, in line with company standards. The role involves analyzing exposures, pricing, endorsements, and end-to-end policy management, with travel for broker visits and training.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial lines P&C experience, leadership potential, and a strong understanding of Environmental Casualty coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years of commercial lines P&C experience, wholesale distribution preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Environmental Casualty coverage and risk pricing.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze data and make informed, calculated risk decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes exposures to loss with high accuracy and develops premium charges.
• Achieves team/individual production and loss ratio goals with assigned agents/brokers.
• Works with complex coverage terms, conditions, endorsements and rate changes.
• Oversees policy maintenance items and mid-term requests.
• Reviews endorsements and authorizes changes to policies.
• Travels to broker offices for marketing visits and training as required.
• Researches and develops new classes of business; studies market trends.
• Assesses market viability and supports rate changes aligned with regional/global strategy.
• Reviews renewal accounts to assess rate strategy on an individual basis.
