Hanson Professional Services Inc. offers an internship in our Environmental Assessment discipline, based in the St. Louis, MO area.

Interns will assist NEPA documentation, environmental data gathering, and field surveys, while using ArcGIS Pro for data collection and exhibit creation. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate enrolled in Environmental Science or related fields, with familiarity in GIS, strong communication and analytical skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in Environmental Science or related field; sophomore year completed.
• Familiar with GIS software and field surveys.
• Excellent written and oral communication, strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare NEPA documentation for categorical exclusions, EAs, and EIS.
• Gather data for environmental reports and studies.
• Conduct field surveys for threatened species, habitat surveys, and wetlands delineation.
• Use ArcGIS Pro for data collection and exhibit creation.
• Assist in preparing environmental permit applications.
• Write memoranda, letters, and general reports; maintain records.
