Job summary

Garver seeks a motivated environmental sciences student for a Transportation Intern - Environmental position in Tulsa, OK. You will document environmental resources, receive training from senior staff, and apply classroom knowledge to real-world consulting projects.

Responsibilities include supporting NEPA-related work, preparing regulatory documentation, and gaining exposure to infrastructure projects across transportation, aviation, and water lines while using ArcGIS tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing environmental science, ecology, biology, or related degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Proven time management skills and work ethic.
• Proven professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in environmental compliance and planning projects by working with our consulting team in the office and in the field.
• Become familiar with regulations relevant to NEPA.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and regulatory documentation, including Section 404 permit applications.
• Explore interests across ecology, hydrology, cultural resources, hazardous materials, and environmental justice on infrastructure projects.
• Learn and utilize ESRI ArcGIS products.
