Job summary

Dallas City Hall is seeking an Environmental Coordinator II to plan, develop and implement citywide environmental training and outreach programs. The role serves as a subject matter expert in regulation, due diligence, and sustainability, coordinating with departments and the community to expand awareness of resources and opportunities.

The position requires designing programs, leading events, and managing communications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field (Environmental/Architectural/Engineering/Natural Science).
Two years of experience in two or more environmental areas as listed (ISO 14001, compliance, remediation, water quality, waste, modeling, GIS, permits, training, public events).
Equivalencies available per city policies.

Responsibilities

Review Phase I & II environmental site assessments and risk assessments.
Develop and promote outreach programs on stormwater, sustainability, and pollution prevention.
Schedule and present outreach programs for diverse audiences; educate on city environmental initiatives.
Coordinate creation and distribution of informational materials; oversee volunteers.
Oversee website and social media content for environmental programs; manage notices and mailings.
Track and analyze training initiatives; participate in events, workshops, and career days.
Identify needed changes, propose improvements, and monitor program effectiveness.
