Job summary

Astrion, located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an Engineering Technician III Climatic Operator to join the environmental testing team. The position requires a Secret clearance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and hands-on experience supporting hardware testing in relevant environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, with 5 years of related hardware testing experience; or 2 years + 3 years in specialty area.
• Must be certified (or capable of becoming certified within 2 years) to Level II ASNT radiographic requirements (TC1A) or equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a technician team to conduct environmental testing.
• Maintain and set up all instrumentation/test equipment properly.
• Monitor tests, record data, and perform data compliance checks.
• Calibrate and maintain simulated environments (rain, salt, fog, temperature, humidity, altitude).
• Create documents for test failures and anomalies; communicate findings to engineers.
