We are seeking an Environmental Test Technician! In this role, you will utilize production test equipment to perform testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers. Environmental tests include Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), thermal and vibration testing. With minimal oversight, you will be responsible for following work instructions to set up fixtures and test equipment to test products, as called out in test documents. Upon completing a test, you will be required to enter results into our ERP system.
This on-site position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. This is a second-shift position (3:00pm - 11:30pm). On occasion this role may be required to provide coverage on first shift (7:00am-3:30pm) and third shift (11:00pm - 7:30am). You will report directly to the Supervisor of Manufacturing.
How You Will Do It
- Perform environmental (thermal) testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers.
- Perform vibration tests.
- Must be able to set up and tear down fixtures per specification.
- Enter test results into our Failure Report System.
- Communicate with technicians during daily shift change meetings.
Required
What We Look For:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum two years of experience working in an environmental or product testing function.
- Ability to troubleshoot test equipment.
- Ability to comprehend electronic and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- Must be detail-oriented and have good time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently on assignments.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull vibration fixtures short distances weighing up to 50 pounds.
Desired
- Associate’s degree in an electronics, electrical, or mechanical program from an accredited institution.
- Two years of experience in electronics and testing operations.
- Experience with environmental chambers and vibration tables.
- Ability to work with different software programs: MS Office, DOS, LabVIEW, etc.
