Job summary

RTX is seeking an Environmental Qualification Lead in Tucson to plan, execute, and document environmental test campaigns ensuring compliance with system and component requirements. You will drive test readiness, allocate resources, and coordinate with engineering teams and labs to deliver verified results.

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and shape verification methodologies in a fast-paced environment, supporting mission-critical aerospace programs and defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field with 5+ years of technical experience.
• Experience with environmental qualification requirements (e.g., MIL-STD-810).
• Leading environmental test activities including vibration, thermal, and E3.
• Experience with test instrumentation, data acquisition, and measurement practices.
• Interpreting drawings, specs, and requirements; leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute environmental qualification tests (vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, altitude, E3).
• Develop test plans, procedures, and reports per military/industry requirements.
• Serve as interface between design teams, test labs, systems engineering and program management.
• Review requirements and ensure test coverage and verification across the product lifecycle.
• Lead TRRs, manage anomalies, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
