Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Environmental Test Engineer T3 in Woodland Hills, CA to support environmental test and qualification activities for complex hardware in a safety‑focused lab environment. You will contribute to Model‑based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices within an enterprise workflow.

The candidate should have a STEM degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or 5+ years with a bachelor’s, plus hands‑on testing experience and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with environmental test and qualification (vibration, thermal, shock, humidity).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in Woodland Hills, CA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Environmental Test Plans and Procedures for dynamic tests (vibration, shock, temperature, humidity).
• Perform environmental qualification and verification/testing at unit and subsystem levels.
• Identify and mitigate test risks, both technical and schedule-related.
• Define fixtures, harnesses, and equipment for environmental testing.
• Set up and operate test equipment (chambers, shakers, data acquisition) following procedures and safety rules.
• Support technicians with setup and troubleshooting, providing engineering guidance.
• Capture/analyze test data, perform basic data reduction, and help prepare reports.
