Job summary

Russells Technical Products is seeking a Test Technician to prepare environmental test chambers for testing. You will connect utilities, set up electrical and mechanical systems, assist with refrigeration preparation, and ensure chambers are ready for the take-off test.

Responsibilities include running power to chambers and accessories, setting up water and air systems, and documenting all steps with checklists. Experience with soldering, brazing, and basic shop tools is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing or environmental test chamber experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts and safety.
• Experience reading and following drawings, procedures, and checklists.
• Experience using a torch, soldering and brazing.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, drills and impact drivers, basic electrical testing equipment, digital multimeter, measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and connect utilities for environmental test chambers and accessories.
• Run electrical power to chambers and connect chamber accessories and equipment.
• Set up water, compressed air, nitrogen, and other utility systems for testing.
• Pre-charge and recover refrigerants; follow safety and environmental requirements.
• Document setup, checklists and test records; enter data in Excel; create basic charts when required.
