Job summary

onsemi is seeking an Environmental Technician to support environmental, chemical handling, building systems, instrumentation and facilities operations in a high tech semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role is part of the Site Facilities Team with a compressed work week schedule, day shift Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

You will support wastewater operations, inspect equipment, maintain logs, and strive for continuous improvement while complying with EHS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and mechanical systems.
• Electro-mechanical skills.
• Experience with instrumentation and controls.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, SPCC, air permits, wastewater).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day wastewater operations across the site, including industrial wastewater, waste management, and environmental monitoring programs.
• Perform routine inspections of chemical distribution systems, environmental equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, compliant operation.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and reporting documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within environmental and facilities systems.
• Support operational activities across shifts as needed within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, and company policies.
• System troubleshooting skills for monitoring devices and field wiring of replacement equipment
