Apex Companies is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician 2 for locations in Signal Hill, CA and Thousand Oaks, CA. Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with remediation systems, maintenance, and data collection.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and work under inclement weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair remediation systems.
• Perform remediation system operations and maintenance.
• Perform soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
• Perform site inspections and other data collection.
• Gather field operation and maintenance data in a neat and organized manner.
• Optimize remediation systems including various oxidizers and groundwater extraction systems.
• Travel to various local remediation system locations.
• Use environmental field instruments including meters and gas meters.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to operate and maintain the systems.
• Understand permits-to-operate and operate systems per permits.
