Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Technician to consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport and dispose of hazardous waste following regulatory and customer policies. Detailed recordkeeping is required.

The starting pay is $25 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and an employer-sponsored 401(k) plan beginning by 2027. Sick leave and vacation policies apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate equipment including a forklift and pallet jack.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.
• Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Willingness to wear company-issued PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Industrial cleaning/Pressure washing, Wastewater treatment, Spill response, facility services.
• Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies, practices and procedures.
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
