Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Technician in Morgantown, WV to join a team responsible for hazardous waste handling. This role involves consolidating, treating, storing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations, with training provided.

You will work 11pm–7:30am, lift up to 50 pounds, operate forklifts, complete documentation accurately, and wear PPE. Preferred candidates bring warehouse or manufacturing experience and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.
• Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Willingness and ability to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Technicians are the backbone of our company and support hazardous waste management.
• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations and customer policies.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
