Job summary

Jefferson Regional Main Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking an Environmental Technician on 1st shift. The role focuses on disinfecting and cleaning the facility, and handling waste removal including medical waste and disposal of equipment and furniture.

Job Summary:

Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture.

Environmental Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.
