Job summary

Jefferson Regional Med Ctr in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking an Environmental Technician for the 2nd shift on an as-needed basis within the Environmental Services Department. This role involves disinfecting and cleaning the facility, and managing waste including medical waste in a safe environment.

Responsibilities include waste removal and disposal of equipment and furniture, with attention to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Job Summary:

Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture.

Environmental Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.
