Job summary

Jefferson Regional Med Ctr Environmental Technician role focuses on basic disinfection and cleaning of the facility, including removal of routine and medical waste and disposal of equipment and furniture. The position supports a safe, sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Job Summary:

Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture.

Environmental Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.
