Job description

MalaceHR is seeking Environmental Technicians to work at a plant located in Kokomo, IN. These individuals will be responsible for handling solid waste, recycling, and trash at the plant.

Openings are for shifts from 3 PM to 11:30 PM or 11 PM to 7:30 AM, with 6-7 days a week.

The pay rate is $15.00/hour, increasing to $20/hour upon direct hire after 90 days.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Collect and transport waste within the plant to designated storage areas and other waste streams, including disposal containers or storage rooms.
• Segregate, sort, and package items for recycling.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Load semi-trailers, tanks, and roll-off boxes for shipment to disposal facilities.
• Perform and document daily equipment inspections prior to use.
• Inspect waste storage areas and emergency equipment, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Operate forklift to load and unload trucks.
• Perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to the plant.

Requirements and Qualifications:
