Environmental Technician at MPS Group

Join our team as an Environmental Technician at MPS Group. We are hiring multiple technicians for the Ford Rouge Complex in Dearborn, MI. Responsibilities include handling solid and hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Collect and transport waste streams, including trash, recyclables, hazardous waste, and scrap metal.
2. Segregate, sort, and package waste for off-site shipment according to EPA requirements.
3. Load waste into trucks for disposal or recycling.
4. Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain the waste storage areas.
5. Assist in responding to chemical spills and ensure proper disposal of materials.
6. Support supply delivery, waste organization, and inventory management.
7. Inspect waste storage and emergency equipment, and document activities.
8. Operate forklifts and burden carriers as needed.
9. Follow all safety guidelines and perform additional tasks assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in waste management.
• Ability to pass background and drug tests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience.
