Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an Environmental Technician for the North Slope, AK site on a rotational 14/14 schedule (12 hour days). The role focuses on managing compliance data and field environmental activities to support our energy projects.

You will gather and maintain data, assist with recordkeeping, QA, and audits, and perform field tasks such as emissions observations and leak detection surveys. 3–5 years of relevant experience and strong problem solving are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant environmental technician experience.
• Supports technical/administrative tasks.
• Familiar with systems, terminology, and procedures used in the department.

Job Description -

Key Accountabilities

• Identifies, implements, and maintains systematic processes to manage critical compliance data.
• Collaborates with other functions to develop and maintain user friendly systems for information gathering/sharing.
• Manages data gathering, compliance related recordkeeping, data quality assurance, auditing and other field compliance verification activities.
• Conducts field work such as visible emissions observations and leak detection surveys, confirms equipment identification and location, and participate in other field environmental activities such as release observations/oversight in developing experience.

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience

• Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of experience.
• Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support.
• General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department.
• Performs routine tasks.
• Able to solve problems and make basic decisions.
